*** Locally! ***
California's District 2 Assembly Member Jim Wood decided to not run again and therefore his position will have to be replaced by a new Assembly Member on the First Monday in December 2024 after the November 5 Elections. The March 5 elections were primaries. So the leading winner in a party has to run against the winning leader of the other party. So for example the leading winner could be a Republican and he or she would have to run against the winning leader of the Democratic party or any other leading winner of any other party in November.
